How I got here

The simple act of running has provided opportunity, given my life a direction, and opened doors that will shape my future. I began competitively running in 7th grade at Hopkins High School. An incredible group of coaches and athletes fostered my love for the sport for 5 years, and as of now, that love will last a lifetime. I went on to compete at the University of Minnesota in track and cross country. While I was at β€˜The U,’ I experienced a wild ride. Program restructurings, coaching changes, program cuts, and a pandemic all shaded my experience in different ways, but a love for the sport persisted. I now find myself running post-collegiately with an elite training group, Minnesota Distance Elite. Along my own path of running, I developed a passion for coaching as well. Currently I assist at the University of Minnesota as well as coach with North Coast Running. As I get my masters degree in exercise physiology, I am passionate to meld my own experience, schooling, and everything I have picked up along the way to help others in their own journeys with sport, exercise, and self-fulfillment. This blog was mainly created to help my own brain process and formulate thoughts, and I hope it can positively impact anyone reading as well. I hope you enjoy following along!
